Ugh. We've got a few unwanted visitors at 277 Highland Ave.
Any advice? I've already cleaned thoroughly and invested in some poisonous traps, which seems to have had some results.
Yuck.
In happier news, Irene is interviewing at St. Paul's today. She's teaching the Communist Manifesto, so we've both been boning up on our Marx. While she was preparing for the class, she came across this amusing retelling of the Manifesto:
Enjoy.

Who are these people leaving evil comments on my blog? Don't click on their comments. They're evil. Where are my loving parents' comments? Where o' where?
Teaching the Communist Manifesto to the students at St. Paul's reminds me of the time you were assigned to visit the Women's Museum of Art, whereupon you concluded that the weavings, pottery, and other artifacts were not art but merely household goods. I believe that I said something like, "You'd better rethink that."
I enjoyed the cartoon although it was the Disney and other characters are a little eerie in the context of Marx. Marx is alive and well in Engliand; my friend Paula Allman just published two books iterating cultural studies from a Marxist perspectives - both books received five star ratings on Amazon.
With regard to the roaches - ugh. They are as persistant as Marxism though not so hard to eradicate: ask your bourgeosie landlord to call in the exterminators!
We're so proud of Irene; I know she'll be wonderful at whatever job she chooses. The Episcopal church is in a bit of turmoil right now, but I think the dominant thread is in line with Irene's sympathies.
